We provide a flexible tattoo space, built for freedom, transparency, and total artist control. Open Ink Studio is an alternative tattoo studio for artists who don’t want long-term commitments, commissions, or contracts. You keep 100% of your earnings and pay only for the session length you book. Just reserve a workstation, tattoo your clients, and settle your session once you’re done.
Pricing varies slightly by city. All bookings have a 1-hour minimum. There are no hidden fees or commissions.

No. There’s no signup fee — you only pay for the session you book.
You book your session online on our website. Choose the studio location, select the date and session length you need, pay the reservation fee, and you’re set.
Yes. We automatically include buffer time between sessions so we can properly clean and sterilize each workstation. You don’t need to account for this when booking — just choose the session length you need.
When you book a session, you pay a reservation fee equal to the 1-hour rate. The remaining balance is paid after you finish your session. For example, if booked a 4-hour session (€56) at our Athens studio, you'll pay €16 when you book and settle the remaining €40 once you’re done tattooing your client. The reservation secures your station and time.
No worries. If your client doesn’t show up, you don’t owe us anything beyond the reservation fee you already paid.
Note: We suggest you collect deposits from your clients to protect yourself (and us) from no-shows. In the future, we’ll offer tools to help you take deposits and manage bookings more easily.
Yes. You can cancel up to 24 hours before your session at no cost. If you cancel within 24 hours of the start time or do a no-show, the reservation fee will not be refunded
Yes. You can book sessions as a guest tattoo artist with no long-term commitment — whether for a few hours, a full day, or several days.
Each workstation comes fully equipped: Adjustable tattoo bed, armrest, tray, lighting, power, sharps disposal, gloves, barrier film, cleaning supplies, lockers, chill zone, sink, and sterilization area. We also provide paper towels, standard printer, stencil printer, stencil printer paper. Just bring your machine, ink, and needles.
No. You must bring your own machines, ink, and needles — these are personal tools and vary by artist and style. We provide everything else.
Yes, aside from your tattooing essentials, you're welcome to bring any other items like lamps, stools, or setup tools. Just make sure they fit the space and don't interfere with others.
Licensing requirements vary by city and country. You’re responsible for holding whatever is required to tattoo professionally in the city you’re working in. We’ll verify this during onboarding.
We adhere to all local health and safety regulations. We provide a clean and hygienic space, with disposable barriers, gloves, and sharps disposal. You are expected to maintain professional hygiene standards at all times.
Only in extreme cases. If repeated no-shows or cancellations pile up, or if you fail to follow standard hygiene practices, we may temporarily pause your ability to book. But we’re fair and transparent, and we'll always speak with you before we take any permanent action.
You’ll have access to a locker during your session. For now, permanent storage isn’t available, but it’s planned for the future.
Yes. If you use the space frequently, let us know and we can help you reserve recurring sessions in advance.
Not yet. For now, we operate on a flexible session-based model only. Residency options with guaranteed access and added benefits are coming later.
No. Open Ink Studio is not a traditional walk-in tattoo studio. Artists bring their own clients and manage their own bookings through their channels (Instagram, TikTok, Inkjin, etc.).
Yes. Once approved, you’ll be able to book sessions at any Open Ink Studio location.

No. Each booking is for one artist only. All artists must be approved and onboarded individually. However, if you're collaborating on a project or running a guest spot with another artist, let us know in advance and we may be able to accommodate it depending on availability.
Yes. If you’re planning a flash day, collaboration, or pop-up event, reach out and we’ll do our best to support and promote it.
We don’t accept walk-ins, and artists bring their own clients. That said, we help with visibility through the Open Ink Studio website and social media, so clients can discover your work and book you directly.
Yes. We have a dedicated artists’ lounge where you can relax, catch up on work, or grab a coffee before or after your session. If you have booked a session, we suggest arriving at least 30 minutes earlier to prepare for your session.
